2025’s Elite: The Top 100 Sommeliers Shaping the UK Wine Scene

Taylor’s Port Top 100 Sommeliers has released its 2025 list of the leading sommeliers in the UK. The annual ranking recognises sommeliers at the top of their game.

23rd June 2025, LondonTaylor’s Port Top 100 Sommeliers number one UK sommelier is Vincenzo Arnese, Director of Wine at Raffles, The OWO London, and the Top Female Sommelier is Maria Boumpa, Wine Director & Restaurant Manager, Da Terra, London.

Top 100 Sommeliers is an annual ranking of the UK’s top sommelier talent, celebrating the art and savoire faire of those professionals who epitomise service in wine.

The ranking invites nominations from sommeliers and their hospitality peers from across the British Isles making it possibly the most independent, objective and accurate ranking of its kind. Based on the nominees’ experience, career and educational achievements, day-to-day responsibilities and performance in competitions, Top 100 Sommeliers uses an infallible, aggregated points system to assess and analyse each sommeliers’ professional successes.

Special awards are presented to those sommeliers in the UK who have gone above and beyond in the promotion of this aspirational profession and in the pursuit of excellence during their careers:
