We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Sommelier to look after the wine in all food and beverage outlets of our 5-star hotel. You will be responsible for ordering, purchasing and controlling the wine costs.
About the role
This is a highly customer-focused role, dealing with several regular guests and business associates. A high level of verbal communication skills will be required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Buying wines for the hotel and liaising with suppliers.
- Liaise with the designer for the wine layout and printing.
- To be present in the restaurant to run the service when on duty. Responsible for the wine service (making suggestions/taking orders/wine service and follow-up).
- Ensure that all Wine stock levels are maintained, and correct ordering procedures are carried out.
