AngloThai is the critically acclaimed restaurant run by husband and wife team John and Desiree Chantarasak. The long-awaited debut restaurant will be opening this autumn in partnership with MJMK Restaurants in Central London and we are looking for an Assistant Sommelier to be a part of the opening wine team.
AngloThai will marry bold, flavour driven cooking with seasonal ingredients sourced within the British Isles, inspired by John’s dual British and Thai heritage. The menu will champion the very best producers and suppliers in the country. The wine programme will focus on thoughtful producers from around Europe, who represent a generation of winemakers that are dedicated to making authentic wines that speak of place.
Job Requirements
The ideal person will have:
- A love for hospitality and a keen attention to detail is a must with a desire to grow and develop within the company.
- Passionate about working with authentic wines and suppliers to contribute to a dynamic, seasonal wine list that matches the exciting menu.
- Genuine and driven individual who wants to deliver friendly wine service consistently.
- Kind, empathetic and keen to work collaboratively with the whole front of house team.
- Experience in similar establishments would be preferable.
- While formal wine education, such as WSET or CMS is desirable, however we value drive and curiosity above all else.
As an Assistant Sommelier at AngloThai, we will offer you:
