Wines of Ukraine tasting
Monday 9 October 2023 @ 10:30 - 15:30 BST
Wines of Ukraine has just established a new generic office in the UK to help promote 12 wineries from the producing regions of Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Ternopil, Zakarpattya and Zaporizhzhia.
Winemaking dates back to the 7th century BC in the Crimean and Black Sea regions. They appear regularly on the news these days – not for the right reasons.
Sommelier Edit is keen to support the winemakers who are fighting to gain exposure for their wines in the UK.
The first Wines of Ukraine wine tasting is being held for press and sommeliers on Monday 9th October at 67 Pall Mall (St. James’ Room) between 10.30am-3.30pm.
This tasting will include wines from the following 12 wineries:
- Beykush Winery – Mykolaiv
- Stakhovsky Wines – Zakarpattya
- Chateau Chizay – Zakarpattya
- Biologist Craft Winery – Kyiv
- Vynkhol Oksamytne/Villa Tinta – Odesa (Bessarabia subregion)
- Kolonist Wine – Odesa (Bessarabia subregion)
- Frumushika Nova – Odesa (Bessarabia subregion)
- Shabo – Odesa
- Tiras Winery/ My Wine by Eduard Gorodetsky – Odesa
- Graevo – Zaporizhzhia
- Father’s Wine – Ternopil
- Bolgrad – Odesa
We encourage members to attend, taste and learn about the terroirs, native varietals and history of Wines of Ukraine.
Help support Ukraine winemakers and producers, who are currently facing difficult and challenging circumstances.
