Riverview Crouch Valley Vineyard Visit & Tasting

An Exclusive Sommelier Edit Experience with Riverview Crouch Valley
Join a group of fellow Sommeliers to visit this Essex estate who have quickly gained attention initially for the quality of grapes they farmed & now the wines they are producing.
Their first vineyard was planted in 2018 by Umut and Katie Yesil, utilising fields owned by Katie’s parents Sandra and Billy (third-generation arable farmers).
The family converted 11 acres of gentle riverside slopes in Hullbridge into prized vineyards planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Meunier. The Crouch Valley offers an incredible grape-growing microclimate, benefitting from its close proximity to the river, abundant sunshine & protection from frost.
In spring 2026, they planted a second site in the historic village of Canewdon, 10 acres of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir,
on land farmed by their family since 1958 overlooking the River Crouch.
After a walk tour of the vineyards an opportunity to taste a flight of current releases & chat with Umut & Katie.
