Role Description
The Assistant Head Sommelier is expected to support the Head Sommelier in wine pairing, wine sales, helping with stock maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service in the food and beverage department.
We are looking for a highly efficient and effective candidate experienced in educating and recommending wines from across the world with a friendly and humble demeanour, alongside learned skills, and expertise. You will also be involved in training staff on our wine offering and overall drinks service.
A suitable candidate will also act as an ambassador for Julie’s Restaurant, ensuring that a positive brand image is strengthened and maintained in all interactions with customers.

Experience & Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a sommelier
- CMS Certified/WSET Level 3 or equivalent
- Expertise in wine pairing and wine sales
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for exceptional customer service
- Ability to consistently work well in a team
- Previous experience in a high-end restaurant/bar is preferred
