Expert panel + launch of The Coravin Guide New Zealand

Tuesday 20 October @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm NZDT
Free

What’s next for by-the-glass? Hear from the experts

By-the-Glass Is Changing. Celebrate What’s Next.

Guests are drinking differently. They order fewer bottles, explore more widely and look to the sommelier to take them somewhere new, one glass at a time.
Whether you build wine lists, consult, work the floor or are studying towards your next CMS or WSET level, understanding that shift is now part of the job.
That’s why we’re bringing New Zealand’s wine trade, hospitality professionals and wine students together for an afternoon of expert conversation, with views from the floor, the list and the data.

We’ll also be celebrating the launch of The Coravin Guide New Zealand, the world’s first and only guide to great wines by-the-glass.

Meet the panel

  • Cameron Douglas MS, Master Sommelier, on what drives guests to order by-the-glass and where that leaves the sommelier.
  • Puneet Dhall, Dhall & Nash Fine Wines, on how wine lists are evolving and what New Zealand diners want today.
  • Richard Yeomans, Coravin Chief Commercial Officer, on what Coravin’s global consumer research reveals about by-the-glass drinking.

You’ll leave with:

  • A sharper view of which styles are gaining ground on by-the-glass lists
  • Practical ideas to spark wine discovery and consumer engagement
  • The chance to put your own questions to the panel
  • A first look at The Coravin Guide New Zealand, celebrating the NZ venues listed, and how it puts great by-the-glass lists on the map.

Raise a glass to the launch, then stay for the canapé reception. Toast The Coravin Guide New Zealand with a glass of Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve and connect with peers from across the industry.
