DESCRIPTION:L’Atelier Grands Crus de Bordeaux – Member Exclusive\nYou are invited to join us for an exclusive Sommelier Edit Members Only preview event for a unique tasting workshop of Grands Crus from Bordeaux. \nThis intensive 2hr session will test and hone your blind tasting skills and deepen your knowledge of some of Bordeaux’s most famous appellations: Graves\, Pessac-Léognan\, Saint Emilion\, Pomerol\, Margaux\, Pauillac\, Sauternes and Barsac. \nEglise Saint Emilion\n\nWinemakers from Grands Crus Châteaux from some of these famous appellations will share their own personal insights and knowledge of the wines and terroirs of Bordeaux.  \nThey will guide you through a tasting of classic regions\, including some of their own wines\, to explain the unique characteristics of each appellation. You’ll learn what makes each one unique and master how to identify them in your glass. \nYour hosts will be Anne-Françoise Quié\, Cogérante\, Château Rauzan-Gassies & Croizet-Bages\, Jean-Antoine Nony\, Copropriétaire – gérant\, Château Grand Mayne\, and Aline Baly\, Directrice Marketing et Communication\, Château Coutet \nTimetable\n10.00am Welcome\, Introductions \n10.15am Part I – A guided blind tasting of wines from eight key appellations\, presented in flights. \nBefore tasting each flight\, privately benchmark your own tasting skills and notes of Bordeaux appellations. \n\nGraves\nPessac-Léognan\nSaint Emilion\nPomerol\nMargaux\nPauillac\nSauternes\nBarsac\n\n11.45am Part II – Blind tasting of wines from three of the appellations studied in part I –  Test your new tasting skills and prove to yourself how much you’ve learnt. \n12.00pm ends\, light lunch provided \nThis is a rare opportunity to taste with winemakers from these regions all at the same time\, exclusively alongside other sommeliers. \nAfter this private session you will be able to put your new skills to the test and attend the main event from 1pm: Union Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2021 Vintage Tasting.
